In addition to traditional support received through annual gifts, tributes, memorials, and event fundraising, there are additional ways to give to Keystone Hospice.

Securities - Keystone welcomes gifts of appreciated securities. These gifts may enable one to avoid capital gains tax while taking a charitable deduction for the full value of the stock.

Bequests - Nearly anyone can make a bequest creating a lasting legacy to Keystone Hospice. Bequests involve no immediate loss of capital or income, and tax benefits minimize the cost to one's heirs. There are several different types of bequests.

Trusts - A trust enables you to make a significant gift to Keystone Hospice while still receiving income from capital, securities, or other property. The unitrust and annuity trust, two of the most common charitable trusts, provide income to you during your lifetime and, if you so choose, for the lifetime of your beneficiary.

Retirement Assets - Designating Keystone Hospice as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement plan can help reduce income and estate taxes.

Personal Property - An outright gift of your residence, vacation home or other real estate to Keystone Hospice qualifies you for a charitable deduction. As with a gift of appreciated securities, this type of gift enables ones to avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciation of the property.

Life Insurance - Consider putting an insurance policy, upon which you no longer must rely, to work for Keystone Hospice.

Gifts-in-Kind - A gift in kind is a non-cash gift or service that would be of some value such as a computer, home or office furnishings, artwork and the like.
