Connelly Foundation Awards Grant to KeystoneCare Hospice

Wyndmoor PA – Keystone Hospice, a subsidiary nonprofit of KeystoneCare was awarded a grant from the Connelly Foundation, West Conshohocken, to resurface the parking lot at the hospice facility and organizational headquarters. This much-needed improvement will make parking safer and more aesthetically appealing for patients, families, volunteers, guests and staff.Connelly Foundation

The Connelly Foundation funds nonprofits in order to improve the quality of life in Greater Philadelphia in the fields of education, health and human services, arts and culture, and civic enterprise.  Connelly’s first year of grant support to Keystone was in 2003 and we are grateful for this long-term partnership in serving the community.

In 2015, Keystone Hospice served nearly 500 patients and their families, of which more than 56 percent were indigent or low income. Our team-oriented care is provided at Keystone House, in patient homes, and other facilities. This team support helps patients with terminal illness and their families with services that address physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.

KeystoneCare is a nonprofit home care and hospice provider offering services, regardless of income or insurance, in the Philadelphia region. Services include home care, palliative care, comprehensive in-home hospice care, and residential hospice care in Keystone House, and private duty care for people without health issues but in need of support to maintain their independence. KeystoneCare assures patients and clients are comfortable and confident, and able to avoid unnecessary institutionalization or face the end-of-life with dignity and support. Founded in 1994, Keystone has never turned anyone away for inability to pay.
