How Will My Gift Be Used?

You may designate your gift to be used for one of several important purposes as described below. All proceeds benefit Keystone Hospice operating fund, unless specified to be donated to "The George Fund".

Operating Support

Gifts in support of general operations enable Keystone to continue to provide quality care to patients in their homes and at Keystone House regardless of their ability to pay. Gifts of general support are critical in meeting basic operational needs.

Capital Support

Keystone is dedicated to owning and maintaining its facility, Keystone House, and to maintaining state-of-the-art equipment in order to provide the optimum quality of care of our patients.

Endowment Support

KeystoneCare's Endowment Fund is designed to provide perpetual support to the hospice. The principal of a gift to the Endowment Fund will be invested, with the interest and dividend income contributing to Keystone's operations. Building a significant Endowment Fund is essential to ensuring Keystone's ability to provide quality care to patients in their homes or at Keystone House in the future.

Pediatric Hospice Donations

The George Fund

Ellen and Jerry Pappert established The George Fund with Keystone Hospice in memory of their son George Hedges Pappert, who died on January 12, 2008, just 8 days before his fifth birthday and 18 months after he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. By bridging the gap between insurance coverage and the real costs of pediatric hospice, The George Fund gives caregivers the flexibility to use a unique and emotionally nourishing approach to comfort care, through complementary therapies that add to a child's quality of life.
