Many Ways to Donate

Memorial/Tribute Gifts

A Memorial or Tribute Gift is an expression of love and respect that lives through service to others. Memorial gifts give special meaning to a family who has lost a loved one, enabling a donor to express sympathy, love and respect while contributing to Keystone's ongoing services.

A Tribute Gift is a donation received from individuals or organizations in honor of special people as loved ones or caregivers, as well as special events in their lives such as birthdays or anniversaries.

Annual Fund Gifts

The Annual Fund provides critically needed support of KeystoneCare's ongoing operational needs and helps enable patients with insufficient private resources to receive quality end of life care. Gifts to the Annual Fund may also be designated in memory or in honor of someone.

Matching Gifts

You may increase your gift to KeystoneCare if your workplace or that of your spouse has a matching program. See your company's personnel officer for the appropriate procedure.

United Way

You may designate KeystoneCare as a recipient by marking the specific care section of the donor choice form with Keystone Donor Choice #8866. To designate United Way gifts to The George Fund, use Donor Choice #48890.

Gifts In-Kind

A gift in-kind is a non-cash gift or service that would be of some value to Keystone such as office furnishings, artwork, computers and the like.

Planned Gifts

A planned gift enables a donor to make a larger commitment without affecting cash flow by using appreciated assets for the gift instead of cash. Combining financial, tax and estate planning enable friends of Keystone to increase the size and scope of their giving significantly. Often, a planned gift enables the donor to realize substantial tax and financial advantages, while achieving major donor recognition during his/her lifetime.

Types of Planned Gifts

Appreciated Securities

You may realize greater tax benefits by using appreciated securities to fund a gift than by using cash.

Gifts by Will

Keystone's  friends also have helped through bequests- gifts through their wills or living trusts. A Gift by Will provides a lasting legacy to Keystone and may be accomplished several ways, according to your wishes and needs. A Gift by Will or Trust can be a particular item, dollar amount or a residential percentage of your estate. Keystone will recognize annually the notification of the intent to give a Gift by Will.

Gifts of Life Insurance

You can name KeystoneCare as the primary or secondary beneficiary of a current life insurance policy or contribute an old policy that you no longer need and realize significant tax savings.

Gift of a Bank Account

Your account manager can advise you how savings or checking accounts, CDs or other accounts can be made payable to KeystoneCare upon one's death.

Gifts that Pay You Back

Life-income gifts offer significant tax advantages along with income for life, while allowing the donor to have the satisfaction of making a major gift during his/her lifetime.
