A Blessing for Marybeth Hospice patient Marybeth states: “Art Therapy has brought my life back to me. When I was first introduced to art therapy, I didn't think I could draw anymore due to my blindness. I really thought it was not possible. But now I look forward to art therapy every week, it makes me feel that I have a purpose, and I was looking for a purpose for ten years. Now I know what God wants me to do, and that's to create.”

"I want to thank everybody in the family that made it possible to live at my home with the things that make me most happy, my dogs and family. Particularly, if it wasn't for Barry, my husband, working so hard it would have not been possible for me to stay with my family so long. My journey has changed with my illness as I've gotten too sick for my family to take care of me. I realize how blessed I was that my family found Keystone House, a place I feel comfortable in and most importantly a place I feel safe. Here I can still see my family. And now I have two families, one at Keystone and one at home. My life at Keystone makes me feel like a little girl on Christmas opening her first present. Living at Keystone House doesn't make me feel like I'm in an institution, I have as much independence as I can. I have made peace with my decision and I am not afraid." |
