Hospice Care

Reaching the end of life is never easy, but it doesn’t have to be painful, scary, or impersonal. Hospice care honors you and your loved ones with a sense of control over the process, and it helps you make the most of your time together. Hospice is not a life sentence—it’s a way to ease distress, maximize quality of life, and ensure that you and your family are treated with dignity and compassion.

How do I know if I need hospice care?

There is no right time to talk about hospice care—but sooner is better than later. In fact, many people explore hospice care well when they are young and healthy to ensure that their end-of-life experience is not based on a rushed last-minute decision. Typically, hospice care begins at the referral or request of a doctor—and we make every effort to start care within 48 hours of the request. In urgent situations, we can begin sooner.
