Medical Director of the KeystoneCare Palliative Care Program

Huma Ansari, MD, the Medical Director of Palliative Care, works with patients and KeystoneCare Certified Nurse Practitioners, nurses and staff at Einstein Medical Center, Temple University Hospital, and Chestnut Hill Hospital.  Dr. Ansari assists patients and their families in critical decision making to identify goals and medical directives.  She treats symptoms, and offers critical medical, physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort and support.  She educates and creates more community awareness and develops platforms and networks for improved Palliative Care treatments, education, program funding, and more.

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Ansari was Medical Director of Palliative Care at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and Clinical Faculty, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, The Ohio State University, Center for Palliative Care. She was Assistant Professor, at The Ohio State University, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Ansari is Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine, received Subspecialty Certification, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and has received continuing education certifications in Palliative Medicine. She is Member, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM), American Medical Association (AMA) and American College of Physicians (ACP).
